Penicillin Cocktail Recipe
We must warn you, this may not be as powerful as the flu shot, or have the healing properties of antibiotics, but this cocktail certainly will cure a cold night.
The Penicillin Cocktail takes the flavours of honey, lemon juice, and fresh ginger, and blends them with a nice drop of scotch whisky.
Ingredients
- 60ml Blended Scotch whisky
- (Our Choice Chivas Regal Blended Scotch)
- 22ml Fresh lemon juice
- 22ml Honey ginger syrup*
- 7.5ml Islay single-malt scotch
- Garnish: Candied Ginger
Garnish with 1 piece of candied ginger.
*Honey-ginger syrup: Combine 1 cup honey, 1 6-inch piece of peeled and thinly sliced ginger and 1 cup water in a saucepan over high heat, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer 5 minutes. Place in the refrigerator to steep overnight. Strain with a cheesecloth.
This delivers a fruity, citrus cocktail which does not contain traces of Penicillin.
