
Victoria Bitter (VB) is a lager produced by Carlton & United Breweries, a subsidiary of Asahi Beverages. It was first brewed in Victoria, Australia in 1854. The beer is marketed as "Australia's original and most popular beer". As of 2020, Victoria Bitter holds 7.4% of the Australian beer market share by value.
VB is known for its strong bitter taste and has won numerous awards including the World Beer Cup and the Australian International Beer Awards. The beer is available in various sizes including cans, stubbies, longnecks via Hello Drinks.
Victoria Bitter was first brewed in 1854 by Thomas Cooper in Victoria, Australia. The beer was originally known as "Cooper's Bitter Ale". In 1888, the beer was renamed to "Victorian Bitter Ale" and in 1924, the name was shortened to "Victoria Bitter".
VB is brewed using a combination of Australian-grown Cascade and Galaxy hops which give the beer its unique flavour. The perfect balance of sweet maltiness and clean hop bitterness is found in this full-flavoured beer. The aroma compliments it well, with its gentle fruitiness creating an enjoyable taste that you can enjoy all day long!
