Chartreuse VEP Liqueur Yellow Label 1L is a French liqueur made by the Carthusian Monks. Chartreuse has been produced in the Chartreuse Mountains in the French Alps since 1737. The liqueur is composed of 130 different herbs, flowers and plants macerated in alcohol and steeped for 8 to 10 weeks. After distillation, the Chartreuse is transferred to old oak barrels where it will age for at least 2 years.
The Chartreuse VEP Liqueur Yellow Label 1L has an intense herbal nose with notes of honey, anise and menthol. The palate is sweet and creamy with flavors of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and nutmeg. The Chartreuse VEP Liqueur Yellow Label 1L is best enjoyed neat or over ice.
