Singleton Spey Cascade is a single malt whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland. The name Singleton refers to the fact that this whisky is produced at a single distillery, The Glenlivet. The Singleton Spey Cascade is a blend of two different types of whisky, each aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels. The first type is a traditional Speyside whisky, while the second is a peated Highland whisky. This unique blend gives the Singleton Spey Cascade its distinctive flavor profile, with notes of honey, heather, and smoke.
The Singleton Spey Cascade is part of The Glenlivet's "Cascade Range", which also includes the Singleton Tailfire and Singleton Fireball. The Cascade Range was released in 2014, and is named for the Cascades mountains in Scotland. The Singleton Spey Cascade is the flagship whisky of the Cascade Range, and is bottled at 700ml.
The Singleton Spey Cascade has a rich history dating back to the early 19th century. The Singleton distillery was founded in 1824 by George Smith, who was the first person to obtain a license to distill whisky in the Speyside region. The Singleton Spey Cascade pays tribute to this historical roots, and is a truly unique single malt whisky.
