Monkey 47 Gin is a premium spirit that originates from the Black Forest region in Germany. The history of the gin began in the late 1940s when Maximilian Muth, a former British Royal Air Force pilot, started distilling it in his backyard.

The name "Monkey 47" comes from the number of botanicals used in its recipe (47) as well as Muth's lucky number.

The taste of Monkey 47 is complex and aromatic, with notes of citrus, pine and spices. It is perfect for enjoying neat or in a classic gin cocktail.

The Monkey 47 Gin brand has since been bought by Pernod Ricard and is now distributed worldwide. The gin has a unique flavour profile thanks to its 47 botanicals, which include juniper, ginger, lavender and citrus peel. It is also aged in oak barrels for a minimum of six weeks.
