Galliano is a brand of Italian liqueur created in 1896 by Arturo Vaccari of Livorno, Italy. The Galliano brand is currently owned by the Dutch company Lucas Bols. The liqueur is flavoured with anise, Vanilla and other herbs including star anise, musk yarrow and lavender. Galliano has a yellow/golden color and is sweet with a strong anise flavor.
The Galliano brand includes three products: Galliano L'Autentico, Galliano Vanille and Galliano Ristretto. Galliano L'Autentico is the original recipe created by Arturo Vaccari and is still produced today. Galliano Vanille is a vanilla-flavored liqueur and Galliano Ristretto is a coffee-flavored liqueur.
