Jameson has a light, floral nose with hints of vanilla, toasted wood, and spice. The taste is smooth, with notes of honey and fruit, followed by a long, warm finish. Jameson's history dates back to 1780 when John Jameson established the Jameson Distillery in Dublin. Jameson was one of the first Irish whiskeys to be triple distilled, and it is this process that gives Jameson its signature smooth taste. In 1820, John Jameson's son, William, built a new distillery in Cork and it is here that Jameson is still produced today. The Jameson family continued to run the distillery until 1971 when it was sold to Irish Distillers. Irish Distillers is owned by Pernod Ricard, and Jameson is now one of the world's best-selling Irish whiskeys. Jameson is exported to over 130 countries and is enjoyed by whiskey lovers all over the world.
