Excellia Tequila

Excellia Tequila is a premium tequila produced in Mexico. The company was founded in 2006 by Carlos Camarena and his son, Fernando. Excellia is produced in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, using only the finest blue agave plants.

The region where Excellia Tequila is produced has a long history of producing fine tequilas. In fact, the first tequila distillery was founded in Jalisco in 1596. Since then, the region has become known for its high quality tequilas.

Excellia Tequila is made from 100% blue agave plants. The plants are grown for seven to eight years before they are harvested. Once harvested, the agave plants are cooked in traditional brick ovens. The cooked agave is then shredded and fermented.

After fermentation, the tequila is distilled twice. Once distilled, the tequila is aged in French Oak barrels for 12 to 24 months. The barrels used to age Excellia Tequila are specifically chosen to highlight the unique flavor of the tequila.

Excellia Tequila has won numerous awards, including a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
