Cana Rio Cachaca is a brand of cachaca that is produced in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. The company was founded in the year 2000 by two friends, Alexandre Moura and Ronaldo Fagundes. Cana Rio Cachaca is made from sugar cane that is grown in the mountainous region of the state.

The sugar cane is harvested by hand and then taken to the distillery where it is cut into small pieces and crushed. Water is added to the mixture and it is then left to ferment for around 15 days. After fermentation, the liquid is distilled twice in copper pot stills.

Cana Rio Cachaca has a light straw color and a smooth, fruity flavor. The brand is best enjoyed mixed in cocktails such as the caipirinha, a classic Brazilian cocktail made with cachaca, sugar, lime juice and ice.
