De Kuyper Triple Sec is a clear, colorless liqueur made from the peel of oranges. It is named after its creator, Dutch distiller Cornelius De Kuyper.
The history of Triple Sec dates back to the early 19th century. At that time, the only way to make orange liqueur was to macerate the peels in alcohol. This process was time-consuming and resulted in a product that was often harsh and bitter.
In 1834, De Kuyper developed a new process for making Triple Sec. He first distilled the peels of sweet oranges to extract their essential oils. He then added these oils to a neutral spirit, resulting in a smooth, flavorful liqueur.
Today, De Kuyper Triple Sec is made according to the same process developed by Cornelius De Kuyper over 180 years ago. It is a versatile liqueur that can be used in a wide variety of cocktails, as well as enjoyed on its own.
De Kuyper Triple Sec is produced in Schiedam, Netherlands. The region is known for its production of spirits and liqueurs. The climate is perfect for growing the oranges needed for Triple Sec.
De Kuyper Triple Sec has a sweet, citrusy flavor with hints of orange zest. It is smooth and easy to drink.
If you are looking for a versatile liqueur that can be used in cocktails or enjoyed on its own, try De Kuyper Triple Sec. Whether you're mixing drinks for a party or relaxing at home with friends, this classic liqueur is sure to please.
