Church Road Chardonnay 750ml is a New Zealand wine that has been pleasing palates since the early 1990s. The Church Road wines are made in Hawke€„¢s Bay, New Zealand€„¢s oldest and most prestigious wine region. The climate here is perfect for growing Chardonnay grapes, as the warm days and cool nights allow the fruit to ripen slowly and develop intense flavours.
This New Zealand Chardonnay has aromas of white peach and citrus fruits, with hints of vanilla and spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and generously fruity, with a long, lingering finish.
Today, Church Road Chardonnay 750ml is made using modern techniques, but it still retains the quality and character that has made it so popular for generations. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks before being aged in French oak barrels for nine months. This gives the wine its rich, creamy texture and complex flavours.
The first Church Road wine was made in 1851 by Englishman Thomas Moore, who emigrated to New Zealand in search of gold. When he didn€„¢t strike it lucky in the gold fields, he turned his hand to winemaking instead. The Church Road winery was one of the first in Hawke€„¢s Bay, and Moore€„¢s wines quickly gained a reputation for being some of the best in the country.
Church Road Chardonnay 750ml is the perfect wine to enjoy with grilled fish or roasted chicken. It also pairs well with creamy pasta dishes and rich cheeses. Order a bottle or two at Hello Drinks!
