Deutz Marlborough Cuvee Brut 750ml is a dry, sparkling wine from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. It has a straw-yellow color and aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and biscuit. The palate is fresh and lively with flavors of lemon and green apple, leading to a long, mineral finish. Deutz Marlborough Cuvee Brut is an excellent choice for celebrations or as an aperitif.
Deutz Marlborough Cuvee Brut was first created in 1987 by Deutz's winemaker Richard Deutsch. The Deutz vineyards are located in the Rapaura district of Marlborough, which is known for its limestone soils. This terroir imparts a unique mineral character to Deutz's wines. The Deutz style is characterized by elegance and refinement, and the Marlborough Cuvee Brut is a perfect example of this.
Richard Deutsch was born in Germany and studied winemaking at the Geisenheim Institute. He came to New Zealand in 1984 and worked at several wineries before joining Deutz in 1986. Under his guidance, Deutz has become one of the most respected producers in New Zealand.
