Beer Giant AB InBev has forfeited its financial gain from Russia joint-venture.

The brewer issued a statement this week over its joint venture in Ukraine and Russia with Turkish brewer Anadolu Efes. The company confirmed it has requested that the license for production/sale of their Budweiser portfolio be suspended, but does not have control over sales or operations due to shares being held by another party (Imported Beer Company).

“We are focused on supporting our employees, their families and the humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine while wishing for peace.”
"The joint venture workers from Russia and Ukraine will continue to get paid," said AB InBev CEO Michel Doukeris., "we want them healthy again with all of this behind us."
