The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at a whopping 57% ABV, giving it plenty of kick.

On the nose, Smokehead High Voltage Islay Single Malt Whisky has classic Islay aromas of smoke and sea salt, with a hint of citrus. On the palate, the smoke is more pronounced, along with flavours of vanilla, honey and oak. The finish is long and smoky, with a hint of sweetness.
