Everyone loves a pre-made cocktail mishmash made with fresh ingredients and not too sweet. This recipe is easy and has a "thin" healthy side. It uses minimal sugar and replaces the triple sec with freshly squeezed orange juice. A margarita on Monday or a taco on Tuesday, this easy and delicious Impress your friends with recipes!

Skinny Margarita Recipe Ingredients and Instructions

2 oz Silver Tequila - with José Cuervo Especial Blue Agave

1 ½ ounces fresh lime juice (about 1 ½ small limes)

1 ounce fresh orange juice (about ½ of a medium orange)

1 teaspoon light agave nectar or simple syrup

1 lime wedge or slice (for garnish)

coarsely ground sea salt (optional)

Before we do anything to our drink, we should start making this cocktail by halving an orange and two limes. Set aside half a lime to cut into wedges. Next, squeeze 1/2 orange and 1-1/2 limes into a cocktail shaker or fill a glass with ice–this can be optional.

Thirdly, we are going to add 1.5 to 2 ounces of tequila and 1/2 to 1 ounce of agave nectar or simple syrup to the same cocktail shaker, depending on how strong you like your margarita. For the next step, we should just make sure to shake them well to combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker.

Adding to the final touches, just rub a freshly cut lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass, then soak the glass and sprinkle it with coarse salt. Finally, we can top it with ice in a Five-O' Clock tail glass and enjoy.
