The Worthy Park estate has a long history dating back to 1670 when it was established by the Powell family. Today, the estate is run by third-generation family member Ian Burrell. Worthy Park is one of the only rum producers in Jamaica that still uses traditional methods and pot stills.
The Worthy Park estate is located in the parish of St. Catherine, which is known for its fertile soils and ideal climate for growing sugarcane. The cane is harvested by hand and then transported to the Worthy Park factory where it is crushed and distilled.
