Highland Park 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky is a single malt whisky from the Highland Park distillery in the Orkney Islands of Scotland. The whisky is aged for 10 years in oak barrels before bottling.
The Highland Park distillery was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson, a former smuggler and butcher. The distillery is located in Kirkwall, the capital of Orkney, and uses water from the nearby Cattie Maggie spring.
Highland Park 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky has a light golden color and a nose of heather, honey, and citrus. The palate is medium-bodied with flavors of peat smoke, spice, and oak. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of peat smoke.
This Highland Park expression is an excellent example of the distillery's signature style. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks. Add a drop or two of water to release the full flavor of the whisky.
