The Macallan

The Macallan

Founded in 1824, the Macallan distillery is one of Scotland's most prestigious Single Malts. The name "The Elchies" was adopted when it became a licensed producer under Queen Victoria’s government that year--and this patronage has continued ever since!

The Macallan single-malt scotch has a long and wealthy history. It's generally considered to be the second or third highest selling malt after Glenfiddich and by some accounts, it even beats out its more famous cousin Glenlivet in popularity!

Macallan has always been known for their elite quality spirits, but in 2004 they took it one step further by introducing the Fine Oak series. This innovative new line featured whisky matured with both sherry and bourbon barrels-making them perfectly smooth without any harshness or dominance from either wood species! The maturing process creates flavors so expertly exquisite that no matter what type of cask is used; Macallan will never be forgotten.
