Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml is a whisky from the Balvenie distillery in Scotland. The Balvenie DoubleWood is a unique whisky, matured in two types of cask – first in traditional oak casks, then in sherry casks – resulting in a rich and complex flavour.
The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old was first launched in 1993 and has been hugely popular ever since. It was named ‘Best Selling Sherry Cask whisky’ at the World Whiskies Awards 2015.
The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1892 by William Grant, and today is still run by his descendants. The Balvenie is renowned for its craftsmanship and traditional methods, using hand-cut peat from local bogs, and coopers to make and repair its casks.
The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old is a beautifully balanced whisky, with notes of honeyed sweetness, spice and a touch of sherry. The perfect dram for any occasion.
