Matusalem Rum is aged for up to 12 years, which contributes to its exceptional flavor and smoothness. Range: Matusalem rum is available in five different varieties, each with its own unique flavor profile: - Platino (clear, light, and dry) - Oro (golden, medium-bodied, and mellow) - Anejo (aged for 3-5 years, with a vanilla finish) - Gran Anejo (aged for 7-12 years, with a complex flavor profile) - 1823 (premium, aged for 18-23 years, with a rich and complex flavor) How to drink: Matusalem Rum can be enjoyed on the rocks, neat, or in cocktails. History: Matusalem Rum has a long and storied history, dating back to the early 1800s. The brand was founded by Jesús María de los Dolores Manuel Carbonell, who was known as Don Mateo. Don Mateo was a Cuban immigrant who moved to the Dominican Republic and started making rum there in 1872. The brand quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest rum in the world. Cocktail Recipes: - Matusalem Mojito: In a shaker, combine 2 ounces of Matusalem Platino Rum, 1/2 ounce of lime juice, 1/2 ounce of simple syrup, and 6 mint leaves.
