Henri Bardouin Pastis is a French anise-flavored spirit created in the Henri Bardouin distillery. It is distilled in the Henri Bardouin distillery located in the town of Le Puy en Velay, in the Haute-Loire region of south-central France. Henri Bardouin Pastis has been produced since Henri Bardouin's great-grandfather founded the Henri Bardouin distillery in 1871. The Henri Bardouin family has been making this traditional French anise-flavored spirit for five generations.
Henri Bardouin Pastis is made with only four natural ingredients: water, alcohol, sugar, and star anise. The star anise is what gives Henri Bardouin Pastis its unique flavor. Henri Bardouin Pastis is a clear spirit, but when water is added, it turns a beautiful opaque yellow color. Henri Bardouin Pastis can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or diluted with water. It is also a popular ingredient in many cocktails.
