Optimus, The Terraces Wine is a red wine produced in Australia. The Optimus range is made up of three wines, each with their own unique taste. The wines are named after the three terraces on which they are grown; the Shiraz, the Grenache and the Mourvedre.
The Shiraz is a full-bodied wine with a rich, fruity flavor. The Grenache is a lighter wine with a delicate flavor. The Mourvedre is a medium-bodied wine with a spicy flavor.
The Optimus wines are all from the same region and have won many awards. These include:
- Best New World Wine at the International Wine Challenge (IWC)
- Best Australian Wine at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)
- Best New World Producer at the IWC
- Gold Medal at the DWWA. Optimus has also been awarded a Five Star rating by James Halliday, Australia's most respected wine critic.
