Havana Club Anejo 7 Anos Rum 700ml has a long and storied history. The rum was first created in 1878 by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso. He founded the Bacardi Company and revolutionized the rum-making process by using charcoal filtration to remove impurities. This gave the rum a clean, crisp flavor that was unlike anything else on the market.
The Bacardi family eventually left Cuba and moved to Puerto Rico, taking the rum-making secrets with them. In 1959, the Cuban government nationalized the Bacardi Company and created Havana Club. The rum has been made in Havana ever since.
