The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is a small-batch, handcrafted gin that originates from the Isle of Islay in Scotland. The gin is made with 22 botanicals and 9 of those are native to the island itself. This gives The Botanist it's unique flavor profile which has been praised by many.
Nestled in the remote Hebridean island of Islay, The Botanist is a product of its unique surroundings. The gin is distilled using 22 indigenous botanicals foraged from the island, including juniper, heather and bog myrtle. This gives The Botanist its signature flavour – a complex and well-rounded gin with a hint of peat smoke.
The Botanist has been produced by Bruichladdich Distillery since 2010. The distillery was founded in 1881 and is one of the oldest working distilleries on Islay. It was bought by Remy Cointreau in 2012, but remains true to its roots, using traditional methods and local ingredients to produce its world-renowned spirits.
The Botanist is the first and only Islay dry gin. It is distilled in small batches using a unique 'botanical basket' containing 22 botanicals. These botanicals are foraged from the island's hills, shores and bogs by expert foragers. The resulting gin is a complex and well-rounded spirit with a distinctively fresh taste.
The history of The Botanist can be traced back to the early 1800s when the first distillery was built on Islay. Since then, the spirits produced on the island have become world-renowned for their quality and flavor. If your order is damaged in transit we will send a replacement, as we cover this ourselves even though it may have been damaged whilst in transit. If you notice the package is damaged on arrival, please alert the driver, and message us. If you notice damage upon opening, please take a photo of the damage, and let us know same day of delivery so we can notify the courier.
