Clynelish

Clynelish Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distilled beverage made from malted barley, water, and yeast. Clynelish is a distillery in the Scottish Highlands region of Scotland. The history of Clynelish dates back to 1879 when it was founded by Johnnie Walker & Sons.

Clynelish has won numerous awards over the years, most recently in 2017 when it was named “Best Highland Single Malt” at the World Whiskies Awards. Clynelish is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Some of our favorite Clynelish cocktails include the Highlander (Scotch whisky, sweet vermouth, orange bitters), the Rusty Nail (Scotch whisky, Drambuie), and the Godfather (Scotch whisky, amaretto).

Did you know that Clynelish is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that still uses traditional floor maltings? This means that the barley is germinated and dried on a malting floor, rather than in a mechanized drum. Clynelish’s water source, Clynemilton Burn, is also unique – it’s one of the only burns in Scotland that flows directly into the sea!
