Anejo Tequila

Anejo Tequila

Anejo tequila is a type of tequila that is made from agave that has been aged for at least one year. This aging gives the tequila a smoother flavor and a golden color. Anejo tequila is usually consumed straight, but can also be used in cocktails.

There are several brands of anejo tequila available, including Patron, Don Julio, and 1800. These brands often have unique recipes that use anejo tequila as their base spirit. For example, the Patron Margarita recipe uses anejo tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur.

Anejo tequila is also popular in Mexico. In fact, mezcal - a type of tequila that is made from a different variety of agave - is often considered to be a type of anejo tequila.
